David & Chloe
David and Chloe are one of the Yakima Valley’s most adventurous father-daughter duos. On any day of the week, you can find them hiking, biking and skiing their way through the mountains and canyons of our Valley.
WHAT MAKES YAKIMA SO SPECIAL FOR YOU?
We’ve lived East Coast, West Coast, Southern Coast. We’ve lived all over. But we call Yakima home. It’s truly a unique section of the Pacific Northwest. What we have here, within a very short drive from anywhere in Yakima, is absolutely amazing.
WHAT DO YOUR FRIENDS THINK ABOUT VISITING YAKIMA?
When people come visit and they see our live music, our breweries, how kid-friendly places are, they usually say, “I get it. I get why you live here.” The sense of pride that I have in this area comes out when I talk with my friends about Yakima, whether they’re in Seattle or New York or North Carolina. The quality of life we have in Yakima is amazing. And when you live in a place like this, you want to tell everyone about it.
WHAT SORT OF OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES DO YOU GUYS ENJOY DOING?
I mean, which direction do you want to go? You can do mountain biking just outside of town. Forty-five minutes away we’ve got White Pass. I’ve always dreamed about skiing with my daughter, and now we’re out two or three times a month. It’s absolutely phenomenal.
